Full job description
Delta Solutions & Strategies is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer to support United States Space Force Space Systems Command (SSC), Space Sensing (SN) activities in Los Angeles Air Force Base in El Segundo, California.
This position will provide systems engineering management, integration, scheduling, process development, workflow improvement, and cross-functional program execution for Space Sensing programs. The selected candidate will lead complex technical or analytical efforts, integrate inputs across multiple stakeholders, provide actionable recommendations to Government leads, and help drive high-quality program and mission outcomes.
The ideal candidate will bring substantial experience in the functional area, sound judgment, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to lead complex work across Government and contractor teams.

What you will be doing:
- Lead complex technical or analytical tasks, integrate inputs across multiple stakeholders, and provide actionable recommendations to Government leads.
- Review work products, help resolve complex issues, and mentor or guide less-experienced team members as appropriate.
- Analyze engineering and acquisition processes and recommend practical improvements to increase efficiency, consistency, and mission effectiveness.
- Support systems engineering management activities including configuration management, risk management, interface management, technical planning, and process control.
- Develop, maintain, analyze, and present Integrated Master Schedules and related program scheduling products.
- Assist Government teams with work breakdown structures, schedule dependencies, critical paths, milestones, and program baseline reviews.
- Evaluate program and project schedules and identify sequencing, dependency, resource, or execution risks.
- Support process development and improvement activities, including documentation of standard processes, lessons learned, and recommended changes.
- Coordinate across Integrated Product Teams and functional organizations to improve transparency and synchronization of technical and programmatic activities.
- Prepare analyses, briefings, reports, schedules, and recommendations for Government review.
What you will need:
- Professional experience and technical depth commensurate with a Senior-level role in the applicable functional area.
- Relevant industrial engineering, systems engineering management, program integration, scheduling, process analysis, or related experience commensurate with the position level.
- Experience analyzing complex processes, schedules, workflows, dependencies, or program execution data.
- Knowledge of systems engineering management, risk, configuration, interface, or schedule management processes.
- Ability to identify process or schedule issues and develop actionable recommendations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, writing, and briefing skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively across technical, acquisition, financial, and program management stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience developing or analyzing program schedules.
- Ability to work on site in Los Angeles Air Force Base in El Segundo, California and support in-person Government meetings and mission activities as required.
- Ability to support CONUS and OCONUS travel when required by the Government.
- Ability to work with sensitive and classified information, Government systems, controlled-access facilities, and Government-furnished equipment in accordance with contract requirements.
- Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance required.
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Experience supporting United States Space Force, Space Systems Command, or another Department of Defense acquisition organization.
- Experience developing or analyzing Integrated Master Plans, Integrated Master Schedules, work breakdown structures, or program baselines.
- Experience with engineering process improvement, lessons learned, configuration management, or risk management.
- Experience supporting large, technically complex space or defense programs.
- Experience working in classified program environments.
- Experience leading complex technical or analytical efforts and coordinating inputs across multiple stakeholder organizations.
- Experience briefing senior Government leaders and mentoring or guiding less-experienced staff.
