Job Description
This role is based in office, so we are currently looking for candidates who are local to the area. Relocation is not available at this time.
A Project Scheduler is responsible for tracking and updating the project schedule using technology and collaboration with team members
A Scheduler I is responsible for the following:
- Assist Project Teams in tracking the project(s) against baseline schedules and budgets
- Evaluate project progress and provide regular schedule updates
- Perform weekly schedule updates with respective team leaders checking in on physical percent complete, remaining units/duration and other key project measurablesAssists in loading budgeted data (material, cost & resources) into schedules and export schedule and Earned Value data from the system.
- Assist Project Teams in creating short-term schedules
- Aid Project Teams and others as required with incorporation of fragnets in Project Schedule
- Work with Project Team to create and fine tune "look ahead" schedules as required
- Create "micro schedules" for specific tasks as project progresses
- Assign schedule activities to the appropriate project team members
- Participates in the development of, and provides feedback for, the continuous improvement of workflows and standard operating procedures
- Maintains regular contact with their project team
- Performs other duties as assigned by management
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Commitment to continual learning and development
Effective written or verbal communication skills
Basic understanding of scheduling practices (Critical Path Method, Pull-Planning, Takt, etc.)
Demonstrated organizational and multitasking abilities
Detail oriented multi-tasker that can work and prioritize several tasks at once
Strong sense of urgency and demonstrated problem-solving ability
Ability to work calmly under deadlines and external pressure
Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Suite and/or Google Suite Applications
Effective interoffice collaboration
Strong service-orientation and proven success in handling heavy customer service responsibilities
Travel Requirements
Primarily office-based with occasional travel to job sites and company locations.
Periodic travel may be required to support training initiatives, onboarding activities, and workforce development programs.
Other Requirements:
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
