Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol in Newark, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor management. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while providing customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to site leadership and/or appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution facilities, loading areas, vehicle yards, entry points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor, contractor, and driver activity in accordance with site procedures; verify credentials and maintain required logs.
• Document incidents, patrol activities, and unusual conditions accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
