Get to know us: NOVO Health Services offers linen management solutions to the healthcare industry. NOVO Health keenly focuses on safety and infection control and provides its partner hospitals with a value-driven linen management control system that measures and monitors linen utilization by department to eliminate excess internal costs. NOVO's wide range of service programs offer a variety of options to provide a seamless, single source distribution system. NOVO's regional healthcare linen facilities are HLAC accredited and operate with state-of-the-art processing equipment and processes.
The successful candidate:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Can identify the various lines of linen products the company offers and their respective functions.
- Builds bulk carts by filling them with the individual linen product
- Reads the individual customer tickets and ensures the proper product and count are then loaded into the cart.
- Weight carts in /out and enter data into a computer program
- Uses a handheld electronic scanner.
- Works independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to multitask.
- Assist and perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Education, GED, and formal education/training preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge and the willingness to learn new computer applications.
- Good analytical skills to be able to determine the number of carts required for orders.
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in manufacturing, production, or the service industry.
- Ability to work in a noisy fast fast-paced environment.
- Ability to climb, stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach, and stack individual items for long periods.
- Ability to lift to 25 - 50 pounds during loading and unloading of the truck.
- Ability to push or pull a cart that may weigh 100 pounds and use simple tools.
- Ability to count items and verify against prepared lists.
- Demonstrated customer service and organization skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of safety procedures.
Education:
- High School or GED
- 1 to 2 years of experience in the health care, manufacturing, or similarly situated industries.
