Position Summary
The Sonographer assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures by preparing patients and operating ultrasound equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.

Education

  • Associate Degree, preferred

  • Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography or Sonography Program; or CAAHEP-recognized Sonography Program, required

Experience

  • Minimum of one year of experience in sonography, preferred

Licensure/Certification

  • NH Medical Center: Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or certified and registered by ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty (RT(S) or ARDMS) within 6 months of hire, required

  • NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility or Hospital Outpatient Department: Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty (RT(S) or ARDMS), required

  • NH Medical Group Office: Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty (RT(S) or ARDMS), required
