Our Clean Harbors Nisku, AB location is currently looking for a Journeyman to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the application of trade skills to a wide variety of welding, fitting, refurbishing and custom fabrication.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Welding work focuses on fabricating. repairing and refurbing assets and equipment.
•Maintaining, refurbing, repairing, and manufacturing Vacuum truck equipment.
•Inspecting existing weldments to identify areas of weakness
•May also use welding equipment to perform metal cutting/trimming for fabrication.
Responsibilities typically include:
• Welding, fitting, and fabrication.
• Tear down of old units includes unbolting, cutting, wrenching, gouging.
• Refurbing of removed components.
• Remounting and mounting of tanks, subframes and pumpstands.
• Provide assistance to lower and equal level employees.
QUALIFICATIONS
Under general supervision: uses hand welding and cutting equipment such as Mig to weld together metal components (flat, horizontal, or vertical, overhead and pipes). Works from sketches, prints, operation sheets, preliminary drawings, and written/verbal instructions. Must maintain welding specifications. Sets up and operates all welding equipment. Typically requires a high school education or equivalent or technical training.
Job Duties: Welds metal components and parts using MIG. Plans work by interpreting blueprints. Observes tests on welded surfaces to evaluate weld quality and conformance to specifications. (hydro, air, die pen)
