The Research & Development Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting analytical method development activities within a platform research and development environment. Interns will work closely with scientists and engineers to support assay development, method optimization, and characterization studies.
This position reports to the Analytical Method Development Leader and is part of the Research & Development organization located in Fargo and will be an on-site role.
What you will do:
- Collaborate with scientists and engineers on research and development activities.
- Assist with analytical testing, method development, and data analysis.
- Support technology development and characterization studies, with exposure to techniques that may include analytical method development, assay optimization, sample preparation, and characterization techniques.
- Participate in scientific problem solving and technical reporting.
Who you are:
- Currently pursuing a Master's or PhD in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Molecular Biology, or a related scientific discipline.
- Laboratory experience through coursework, undergraduate research, graduate research, or internships; working knowledge of statistical methods and design of experiments.
- Basic knowledge of good laboratory practices and scientific methods.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Exposure to analytical testing, assay development, scientific instrumentation, laboratory techniques, or scientific data analysis is desirable but not required.
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
The hourly range for this role is $35.00 or 38.00 depending on the level of education being perused . This is the rate that we in good faith believe is the rate of compensation for this role at the time of this posting
