- Conduct daily inspections of injection molds and related equipment to detect potential issues that may impact performance or safety.
- Document inspection findings and report any abnormalities to the appropriate personnel for corrective action.
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for injection molds to minimize unplanned downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Perform tasks such as cleaning, lubrication, and calibration according to established maintenance procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with injection molds and equipment.
- Disassemble and reassemble molds and machinery to identify faults, replace worn components, and perform necessary repairs.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, including service dates, parts used, and equipment status.
- Update maintenance logs and documentation systems to track maintenance history.
- Ensure all injection molds and equipment meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct safety inspections and implement corrective measures to prevent workplace hazards and promote a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with production teams to address maintenance issues promptly and minimize production downtime.
- Provide technical support and expertise to operators and other maintenance personnel as needed.
- Identify opportunities to improve mold performance, efficiency, and durability through innovative maintenance practices and upgrades.
- Make recommendations for process improvements and equipment modifications to enhance overall operational effectiveness.
