We are looking for a talented Production Support Associate IV to join our 1st Shift team specializing in Manufacturing at our Cummins Drivetrain and Braking Systems Business Unit facility in York, SC.
The Production Support Associate performs highly skilled non-production activities independently supporting manufacturing processes in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment. Acts as a formal resource leading and coordinating others. Quickly and effectively adapts to change in the manufacturing environment.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Champion a culture of safety and environmental responsibility by proactively identifying hazards, ensuring compliance with HSE standards, and promoting safe work practices that protect employees, assets, and the environment.
- Drive quality excellence across the operation by following and helping others apply standard work, policies, and procedures while identifying quality concerns and supporting effective problem-solving efforts.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives by actively identifying opportunities to improve quality, safety, productivity, material flow, and employee development, then implementing practical and sustainable solutions.
- Serve as a technical and operational resource by leveraging your expertise to guide team members, coordinate activities, and provide support to employees with less experience.
- Utilize structured problem-solving methodologies to address process challenges, reduce waste, minimize costs, and improve overall operational performance.
- Advance operational excellence by facilitating the application of Cummins Operating System (COS) principles and Operations Excellence (OE) methodologies to improve consistency, efficiency, and results.
- Strengthen organizational performance through collaboration by working effectively with peers, support functions, and leaders at all levels to maintain and enhance process performance.
- Enable team growth and adaptability by communicating effectively, leading improvement efforts, supporting employee development, and helping the organization successfully navigate change and uncertainty.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
- Significant work experience and in-depth knowledge obtained through specialized training and relevant experience.
Qualifications
Additional Requirements:
- 3+ years Forklift and PIV experience.
- 3+ years yard switcher or on the road trucking CDL preferred.
- Manage material flow to production, shipping, receiving.
- Coordinate trailer movements, dock assignments, loading and unloading activities.
- Schedule and manage overtime.
- Manage trailer yard tracking and yard coordination.
- Proficient in Microsoft, especially excel.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
