Full job description
Special Education Teacher for a 36-week contract in Surprise, Arizona. Earn up to $53/hr plus bonus, with weekly direct deposit and comprehensive benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and caregivers to support student development.
Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports for all students.
Assess student performance and adjust instructional methods accordingly.
Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and growth.
Qualifications:
Bachelors or Master's Degree in Special Education or equivalent.
Valid Arizona Special Education Certification (ADE).
Valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card.
CPR and First Aid certifications from an accredited agency.
Valid NCI Training Certificate.
Valid Food Handlers Card.
1 year of relevant experience in a special education environment.
Valid driver's license and social security card.
Negative Mantoux TB skin test within 12 months or provider statement.
Two letters of recommendation.
Ability to obtain and maintain Arizona Early Childhood Special Education Certification.
Strong communication skills, patience, and ability to work with diverse student needs.
