Full job description
Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join as a traveling Physical Therapist in Northfield, NJ working in an outpatient setting. Provide orthopedic evaluations and treatment, develop individualized treatment plans, supervise discipline-specific therapy services, and educate patients, families, students, and coworkers. Complete comprehensive evaluations, document timely and accurately, and participate in performance improvement and student programs. Adhere to professional standards, state practice acts, and organizational policies. The role supports a focus on patient and employee safety, safe patient handling, infection control, and maintenance of a safe work environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA. Active New Jersey Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment. BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required. Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings preferred. Ability to perform 60-minute evaluations and treatment sessions. Experience with documentation, goal writing, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state and federal guidelines. Demonstrated competency in safe patient handling and infection control procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supervising students and participating in clinical education. Prior travel or contract therapy experience preferred. Experience with performance improvement initiatives and clinical documentation systems.
Assignment Details
Schedule: 5x8. Flexible 40 hours per week with 1–2 evenings until 7 PM as needed. Orthopedic patient population. May be required to float to other local facilities as needed.
