Full job description
At Lodi Veterinary Care, we provide a safe, fun, and loving home-away-from-home for pets. We pride ourselves on top-tier animal care, cleanliness, and exceptional customer service. We are looking for a passionate, organized, and energetic Boarding Manager to lead our team and oversee daily operations.
The Boarding Manager handles the daily operations of our pet boarding and daycare facility. You will lead a team of animal caretakers, ensure the highest safety and hygiene standards, and interact directly with pet parents to deliver peace of mind.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, schedule, and motivate a team of kennel technicians and daycare attendants.
- Operations Management: Oversee daily feeding, medication administration, exercise routines, and facility cleaning schedules.
- Customer Service: Check pets in/out, handle inquiries, resolve customer complaints, and manage booking software.
- Safety & Health: Monitor animal behavior and health, enforce safety protocols, and coordinate medical care if needed.
- Inventory Control: Track and order food, cleaning solutions, and facility supplies within budget.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a pet boarding, veterinary, or dog daycare facility.
- Management: 1+ years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Skills: Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and basic computer proficiency.
- Availability: Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays (peak boarding times).
- Physical Ability: Able to stand for long periods and safely lift up to 50 lbs.
