- Communicates courteously with internal and external customers in person or on the telephone.
- Demonstrates respect for co-workers and develops positive working relationships with other departments.
- Respond immediately to clinical deterioration or emergency calls.
- Provide real-time education on early warning signs, interventions, and documentation.
- Support and coach bedside nurses during and after rapid response events.
- Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes.
- Collaborates and demonstrates teamwork in managing patient flow, promoting timely patient placement by following hospital policy for admission, discharge, and transfer.
- Participates in peer interviewing and peer review processes.
- Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice in the delivery of nursing services.
- Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health and unit-specific data for process improvement initiatives.
- Incorporates Caring Model behaviors and culturally competent care into daily practice.
- Conducts initial patient assessments within expected timeframes, initiates consults as indicated, and identifies patient/family teaching and discharge planning needs.
- Maintains safe practice by demonstrating unit-specific clinical competency and compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Perform focused and comprehensive assessments of patients experiencing acute changes.
- Adheres to organizational standards for dress and professional appearance. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Skills required for work in critical care area
- Computer skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Electronic EMR documentation
- Effective communication
- Critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of EPIC EMR
- EKG application and identification
Education:
- Associate's of Nursing [Required]
- Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
Work Experience:
- 3+ years of experience as a critical care registered nurse [Required]
- Experience in a specialty area(s) [Required]

Pay Range:
$31.85 - $52.76Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
