Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist - $2880 per week.

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Qualivis Program - University of Virginia and no current placement allowed at Program: Qualivis Program - University of Virginia.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience Level IV NICU experience required. Competent in the use of both the Bunnell Jet Ventilator and HFOV 3100A.

Preferred Skills/Experience Cardiac PICU experience preferred. Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Required Credentials Any hit on your license must be disclosed. Hits will be sent to UVA leadership for approval prior to proceeding.

Special Requests Assignment length options: 13 or 26 weeks. Travelers are not eligible to return after reaching 365 total assignment days, regardless of time away.

Unit Details Neonatal, infant, pediatric, and adolescent patient population. Children’s hospital respiratory role supporting NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and acute care pediatrics. Children’s hospital includes a pediatric emergency department, a Level IV NICU, a PICU, and a complex congenital heart program including transplants and ECMO.

Shift & Scheduling Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week. Every other weekend and every other holiday. Must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays. Self-scheduling model; desired schedule is not guaranteed but efforts will be made to accommodate.

Floating Requirements Will be required to work in all units of the Children’s Hospital.

3 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required
