Material Handler

Our client, a leading food manufacturer, is seeking a Material Handler to join their team. As a [Material Handler, you will be part of the Production department supporting all warehouse departments as needed. The ideal candidate will have stand up forklift experience, excellent communication skills and organization which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Material Handler

Location: Des Plaines/Elk Grove Village, IL

Pay Range: $20.20/hr

What’s the Job?

• Operates forklifts, handcarts or pallet jacks to pick, replenish, shuttle and load/unload orders
• Count, weigh, record numbers of units or materials moved or handled
• Operate all equipment in a safe manner

What’s Needed?

• Ability to obtain forklift certification within 90 days
• Ability to operate stand-up and extended forklilfts
• Sufficient math skills
• Ability to read and write in English is preferred
• Must be knowledgeable in GMPs or willingness to learn
