Why This Role Stands Out
Leadership + clinical mix: Serve as both a practicing primary care physician and the Medical Director for the primary care service.
Predictable schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., no nights or in-house call, and limited weekend obligations.
Outpatient only: Community-based clinic environment with strong nursing and administrative support.
Impact: Drive quality, access, and patient experience for a panel of Veterans and the clinicians who care for them.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct primary care to an assigned panel of adult patients (chronic disease management, preventive care, and acute visits).
Serve as the physician leader for primary care, overseeing clinical standards, workflows, and quality initiatives.
Support and mentor physicians, nurse practitioners, PAs, and other team members within the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) model.
Collaborate with administrative and nursing leaders to optimize access, panel management, population health, and Veteran experience.
Participate in performance improvement, credentialing, and policy implementation at the clinic level.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
Demonstrated primary care experience, ideally including prior leadership, chief, or lead physician roles.
Strong communication skills with a collaborative, team-first mindset.
Passion for Veteran-centered care and for coaching/mentoring other clinicians.
Eligible for (or holding) an active, unrestricted U.S. medical license.
