- Maintains accurate and detailed documentation of all care provided.
- Involves patients in decision-making about their care to enhance engagement and satisfaction.
- Adjusts fluid levels and manages co-morbid conditions to support recovery.
- Educates patients and their support persons about care procedures and recovery expectations.
- Monitors patient’s condition throughout the perioperative period to ensure stability and comfort.
- Administers medications and pain relief according to the care plan.
- Utilizes evidence-based practices and clinical guidelines to inform the care plan.
- Collaborates with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Ensures smooth transitions between different care settings or providers.
- Assesses patient medical history, current health status, and specific needs to develop a personalized care plan.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to function at a high level in a physically demanding, high-stress environment [Required]
- Demonstrated ability to work under stressful conditions [Required]
- Ability to work irregular hours including call hours [Required]
- Basic computer skills (eg, Microsoft® Word) [Preferred]
- Cerner electronic documentation [Preferred]
Education:
- Associate's of Nursing [Required]
- Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
Field of Study:
- N/A
Work Experience:
- 1+ years of acute care nursing experience [Required]
- 2+ years of ambulatory surgery or surgery [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) [Preferred]
