Job Overview

  • Specialty: Oncology and Hematology

  • Hospital Location: Lapeer, MI

  • Summary: Seeking a Medical Oncology and Hematology Physician to provide outpatient clinic coverage on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, including clinic call as needed. This role is to cover a recruitment gap.

  • License: MI License (not accepting IMLC at this time)

  • Reason for Coverage: Recruitment gap

  • Days Required: Monday, Wednesday, Friday

  • Coverage Type: Clinic and clinic call

  • Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM €" 4:30 PM

  • On-Call Requirements: Clinic call only

  • Average Patients per Day: 15€"20 outpatient clinic patients

  • EMR System: Cerner

  • 100% Adult Outpatient

  • Practice Setting & Support: Oncology and Hematology outpatient clinic. Previously a two-physician practice with NP assistance

  • Support Staff Includes:

    • Oncology RNs

    • Medical Assistants

    • Social Worker

    • Dietitian

    • Nurse Navigator


  • On-site Services:

    • Infusion center

    • On-site CBCs

    • Recruitment for a full-time physician is ongoing

  • Procedures / Skills Required:

    • Hematology outpatient care

    • Oncology outpatient care

    • Participation in tumor board
