Quick Facts Location: Springfield, OH 45504 Start Date: 05/28/2026 End Date/Duration: Ongoing for at least 2 months, with sporadic coverage afterward Shift: Days; typically 8-hour shifts (flexible as needed) Hours/week: 40 Employment Type: Locum/Temporary License/Certifications: Medical license in Ohio, Board Certified in Surgery required Experience: Minimum (X) years of cardiothoracic surgical experience Pay & Benefits Pay rate: $19.50/hour Per Diem: Travel reimbursement (standard/economy class) Housing: Lodging within $150/night, approved expenses only Benefits: Weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive W-2 medical benefits, paid sick leave, licensure and travel reimbursements, ongoing support from our team, referral bonuses available What You’ll Do Perform general cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgeries including coronary artery bypass, valve repairs, aneurysm repair, lung resections, and chest wall procedures Manage postoperative and inpatient care within a full-service acute care hospital setting Conduct procedures such as endarterectomy and bronchoscopies Evaluate and manage acute volume and blood pressure issues Collaborate with onsite lab and radiology services using EPIC documentation system Provide call coverage as needed for emergency and scheduled surgeries What You Need Active Ohio medical license and board certification in surgery Proven experience in cardiothoracic and vascular surgeries Strong interpersonal and clinical skills Ability to adapt to a fast-paced hospital environment About the Assignment This opportunity is at a full-service hospital with 250 beds and 60 ICU beds, located in Springfield, Ohio. You will be responsible for a full range of cardiothoracic procedures, with support staff including mid-level providers.
