Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist - $1700 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Respiratory Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

If your start date is within 90 days, you must complete all labs within 72 hours of signing an offer with MUSC.

Required Skills/Experience: At least 2 years of critical care experience required. RRT adult critical care experience required.

Special Requests: RTO is due at time of submission. Approval is based on manager/unit needs. Parking costs apply only on nights and weekends; a one-time $20 parking pass is required. Emergency team activation may be required. During hurricane season, which runs from June through November (peak: August–September), travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams. If unavailable for emergency response duties, do not confirm new assignments or extensions during this period.

Unit Details: Adult cardiovascular ICU patients include postoperative cardiac, thoracic, and complex vascular surgery patients; heart and lung transplant and durable LVAD patients; temporary mechanical circulatory support; ECMO, IABP, and Impella; complex cardiology patients; and patients recovering from cardiac arrest or with acute myocardial infarction or decompensated heart failure. Adult medical-surgical ICU patients include a mix of medical and abdominal surgical patients, ARDS, septic shock, hematologic and oncologic emergencies, GI hemorrhage, pulmonary hypertension, and perforated viscus.

Shift & Scheduling: The first orientation will be on day shift. Holidays are required. Every other weekend is required. No call.

Floating Requirements: Any floating, if required, may be to Main Hospital for an adult population with the same policies, equipment, and charting requirements. Floating to sister facilities is not required.
