Locums CRNA Duluth, MN (any state license accepted) Why This Role

  • Any state license accepted (MN obtained during credentialing)
  • No call, M-F with optional weekend pickup
  • Multiple openings (2), ongoing - locums-to-perm potential
  • Medically directed practice with collegial anesthesiologists
  • Flexible shift lengths (8s, 10s, 12s)
  • Assignment Details
  • Start/end: September start, ongoing; open weeks beginning 8/31
  • Schedule: M-F with occasional weekend pickup; 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts (Mon-Fri), 12 or 16-hour shifts (Sat/Sun); 30-min unpaid lunch; no call
  • Coverage type: Outpatient surgical anesthesia, one-to-one patient care
  • Volume: 1-2 longer cases or 3-4 shorter cases per 8-hour day; 26 ORs
  • Setting: Level 1 trauma, stroke certified; busy surgical schedule covering all but transplants and pediatric hearts; coverage across St. Mary's Medical Center (344-bed tertiary, new facility 2023), Miller Hill Surgery Center, St. Mary's Superior WI, Essentia Duluth, and Outpatient Endoscopy Center
  • Support: Medically directed practice with anesthesiologists
  • EMR: Epic
  • Credentialing: 45-120 days
  • Clinical Details
  • Required scope: General anesthesia (adult, pediatric, neonatal, trauma), spinal, regional, obstetrical, neurosurgical (head and spine), open heart, thoracic, complex vascular and orthopedic, vent management, acute volume/BP management, arterial line placement
  • Coverage settings include ORs, cath lab, GI, EP, MRI, and CT as needed; all patient age groups
  • Excluded scope: No transplants, no pediatric hearts
  • Requirements
  • NBCRNA certified (or accredited program graduate awaiting initial certification)
  • Master's or doctorate from an accredited school of anesthesia
  • License: any state accepted
  • CPR, BCLS/ACLS
  • Active DEA
  • Compensation
  • Rate caps apply: $250/hr
  • Malpractice provided
  • Travel and lodging reimbursed
