This position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art facility located in Sparks, Nevada. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions.
  • Conduct functional assessments and track patient progress through appropriate documentation and adjustments to treatment as advised by supervising therapists.
  • Utilize state-of-the-art equipment and therapeutic techniques to improve the physical abilities and quality of life of patients.
  • Educate patients and their families on exercises, treatment plans, and health management strategies to foster understanding and compliance.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care protocols and share insights on patient progress.
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards in care delivery while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily support elderly patients residing in skilled nursing facilities, including those rehabilitating from strokes, orthopedic surgeries, and complex healthcare issues. A compassionate approach and understanding of geriatric care are essential, as these patients often require tailored treatment to address their unique challenges and goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
  • Active Physical Therapist Assistant license with the ability to practice unencumbered by state and federal guidelines.

Compensation and Benefits
