Mechanic Trainee

What You'll Be Doing

  • Assist with inspections, maintenance, and repairs on mobile and fixed equipment under guidance from experienced mechanics
  • Learn troubleshooting techniques for mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
  • Support preventive maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability and performance
  • Maintain tools, work areas, and equipment in a safe and organized condition
  • Follow safety procedures and complete training assignments to develop technical skills

Conditions of Employment

  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
  • Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing

Work Environment

  • Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
