Shop Helper / General Labor

QCMI is looking for a dependable, hardworking person to help keep our machine shop clean, organized, and running smoothly.

This is a hands-on position where you'll stay active throughout the day. You'll help with cleaning, moving materials, light maintenance, and supporting our production team. No two days are exactly the same.

What You'll Do

• Keep the shop, offices, break room, and restrooms clean.
• Empty trash and help keep work areas organized.
• Clean machined parts.
• Help move materials around the shop.
• Help with light building repairs and maintenance.
• Assist with yard work and keeping the outside of the building clean.
• Use hand tools and power tools.
• Safely use ladders and work at elevated heights when needed, including accessing and performing work on the roof.
• Drive a forklift or pallet jack (we'll train you if needed).
• Help different departments when extra help is needed.
• Follow safety procedures and help maintain a safe work environment.

• Mechanically inclined is a plus
• Forklift experience is a plus, but not required
• Maintenance, landscaping, warehouse, or shop experience is helpful but not required

We'll train the right person.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and carry up to 45 pounds
• Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
• Push, pull, and move materials
• Bend, reach, stoop, and perform other physical activities associated with cleaning and maintenance work
• Safely climb, work from, and descend ladders
• Work at elevated heights, including accessing and performing work on the roof when required
• Work both indoors and outdoors as needed
• Work overtime when business needs require it
