Labcorp is seeking an Maintenance Technician to join our team at Esoterix in Calabasas, CA.
Work Schedule: Sunday – Thursday 8:00AM - 4:30PM
Job Responsibilities
Participate as an active member of the integrated maintenance team.
Operate and maintain a wide range of mechanical and electrical systems and equipment.
Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Use fault-finding procedures and manufacturer manuals to diagnose and resolve issues.
Operate and repair steam boiler systems and associated steam services.
Conduct water treatment tests and maintain water systems (hot, cold, domestic, and laboratory).
Inspect, operate, and repair heating systems, compressed air systems, pumping systems, and extract systems.
Diagnose and repair electrical equipment and installations in compliance with current regulations.
Maintain and repair belt drive systems, including pulley and bearing replacements.
Work on drainage systems and understand their design and function.
Troubleshoot and repair control systems, including actuators and building management systems (BMS).
Perform welding (gas or electric) and pipe installations using copper, plastic, or steel.
Assist in training new hires and apprentices.
Calibrate and commission equipment according to standard operating procedures.
Provide technical support to facilities management.
Manage subcontractors during service disruptions.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
3 years or more of hands-on experience in mechanical/electrical building services.
Preferred Qualification:
1 year or more of experience in building and facilities maintenance is desired
1 year or more of experience with a Building Automation System is a plus
Additional certifications or training in specialized systems (e.g., boiler operation, BMS, HVAC) are advantageous.

Strong technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Ability to read and use operation and service manuals
Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Capable of managing subcontractors and coordinating service activities.
Willingness to mentor and support junior staff.
May require travel within the local and regional area.
Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
Participation in a rotating on-call schedule to provide after-hours technical support.
Must hold a valid, clean driver’s license.
Expected to maintain a personal, high-quality tool kit appropriate to the trade.
Availability to work on-call as needed, including after hours and on weekend
**Pay Range: $17.75 - $21.75 per hour.
All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
