Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
  • Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
  • 1 year experience in radiology, ICU, or a high-acuity clinical setting preferred
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
  • Strong understanding of radiologic and imaging procedures and safety protocols, including the use of contrast media
  • Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities:

  • Assist radiologists and other medical professionals during diagnostic imaging examinations and interventional radiology procedures
  • Administer and monitor intravenous contrast agents, ensuring that any allergic reactions or complications are promptly addressed
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide optimal patient care before, during, and after radiologic and diagnostic imaging procedures
  • Educate patients and their families on pre- and post-procedure care, explaining the risks and benefits of radiologic tests and contrast agents
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all nursing care in accordance with hospital and departmental policies
