Full job description

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring an Interim - Pharmacy Operation Manager

Shift: Non-exempt, Days, 7a-3p, 8x5, 40 hrs per week, Mon-Fri

Duration: 13 weeks

Requirements:

  • Active CA Pharmacist License
  • Successfully completed NAPLEX (Required)
  • 5 years of experience in a hospital pharmacy environment OR completion of a PGY1 residency (Required)
  • Previous experience managing, developing, coordinating, and implementing pharmacy delivery and documentation systems (Preferred)
  • Experience or training in pharmacy information systems such as Meditech or Epic (Preferred)
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Experience managing projects and teams
  • PharmD from an ACPE-accredited institution (Required)
  • Completion of a PGY1 residency (Preferred)

Other Details:

  • Works under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy; ensures smooth operation of pharmaceutical care delivery across clinical, financial, administrative, and information systems operations
  • Plans, organizes, coordinates, and controls workflow; hires, trains, and supervises pharmacy staff; coordinates work schedules and monitors workload statistics
  • Acts as liaison with physicians and hospital personnel
  • Oversight of the Automated Dispensing Machine system in coordination with the Pharmacy Technology Coordinator
  • Maintains compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, USP 797, and Joint Commission (TJC) standards; maintains inventory records including controlled substances
  • Follows ASHP Minimum Standards for Pharmacies in Hospitals
  • Performs the duties of Director of Pharmacy in their absence and staff pharmacist duties as needed
  • Charting/systems: Meditech or Epic
