Full job description
Join our skilled team of imaging professionals as an Interventional Radiology Technologist. You will perform invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures, operate and maintain x-ray and imaging equipment, and ensure quality assurance for imaging processes. Responsibilities include patient monitoring during procedures, preparing sterile fields, assisting physicians during interventional cases, and documenting procedure details and contrast usage.
Minimum Requirements:
- 2 years of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience with references.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography. Preferred: ARRT in Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI) or equivalent.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Preferred: ACLS certification.
- Current state radiologic technologist license for Illinois.
- Experience operating and troubleshooting fluoroscopy and digital imaging systems, including familiarity with DSA, PACS, and contrast media handling.
- Experience with sterile technique, prepping for IR procedures, and monitoring hemodynamic and respiratory status during procedures.
- Ability to work in a hospital interventional suite environment, including trauma and cross-cover responsibilities when required.
