About The Role:

Atlas Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, is seeking an Inside Sales Manager to lead and mentor our Inside Sales team while supporting company sales, inventory, and customer service objectives.


In this role, you'll combine strategic leadership with hands-on coaching to build a high-performing team, optimize sales processes, leverage data-driven decision making, and foster strong customer relationships. Location: Must sit on-site at one of the Atlas Tube locations (Plymouth, MI, Chicago, IL, Blytheville, AR, Birmingham, AL or Kanas City, MS)


What You'll Do

As the Inside Sales Manager, you will:

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Inside Sales team, creating a culture focused on customer satisfaction, accountability, and results.
  • Establish, monitor, and improve key sales performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Develop and maintain sales processes, work instructions, and best practices that support team success.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve sales effectiveness through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on products, pricing strategies, market trends, and customer needs.
  • Analyze sales and business intelligence reports to support strategic decision-making and business growth.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, create development plans, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training efforts for new team members.
  • Partner cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, logistics, and other departments to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Ensure order entry accuracy, pricing integrity, invoice accuracy, and effective inventory management practices.
  • Promote open communication, employee engagement, and a collaborative team environment.
  • Represent the organization professionally during customer visits, industry events, presentations, and trade activities.
  • Champion workplace health, safety, and compliance initiatives.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Postsecondary education in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Previous sales experience with demonstrated success in customer relationship management and sales growth.
  • Ability to travel and support teams across multiple locations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within the steel, pipe and tube, manufacturing, or industrial sales sectors.
  • Experience leading inside sales or customer service teams in a business-to-business environment.
