Turn Strategic Customer Relationships into Sustainable Growth
ProAmpac is seeking a Manager, Account Strategy & Planning to strengthen how we plan, prioritize, and grow our most important customer relationships.
This is an opportunity for a strategic account professional or commercial growth planner who enjoys bringing structure to complex customer opportunities. You will partner with Sales leaders and cross-functional teams to transform customer insights, financial data, and growth opportunities into actionable account plans.
Rather than managing one individual account, you will help establish the planning processes, tools, scorecards, and operating rhythm used across our global commercial organization. Your work will improve customer growth, profitability, retention, and long-term partnership value.
What You Will Help Build
You will serve as the primary owner of ProAmpac’s strategic account planning methodology and commercial planning governance. Your work will create greater consistency and accountability across customer planning, pipeline reviews, and executive business reviews.
You will:
-
Lead the development and execution of strategic account planning processes across global commercial teams.
-
Partner with Sales leaders to create annual and multi-year growth plans for priority customers.
-
Develop customer scorecards that measure revenue growth, profitability, retention, share of wallet, pipeline health, and strategic initiatives.
-
Coordinate and strengthen Quarterly Business Reviews for key accounts.
-
Support customer segmentation and account prioritization strategies.
-
Partner with Finance and Pricing to evaluate customer profitability and uncover margin improvement opportunities.
-
Facilitate planning sessions across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Customer Service, Product Management, and business unit leadership.
-
Monitor customer action plans and provide clear progress reporting to executive leadership.
-
Identify pipeline gaps, account expansion opportunities, and potential pilot programs.
-
Drive adoption of strategic account planning tools and processes within the CRM.
-
Develop executive-ready presentations that connect customer performance, risks, and growth opportunities.
-
Recommend improvements that make commercial planning more effective, consistent, and actionable.
Why This Role Stands Out
This role offers the opportunity to influence how a global commercial organization approaches its most strategic customers.
You will have the ability to:
-
Shape an enterprise-wide strategic account planning capability.
-
Work directly with senior Sales and business leaders.
-
Connect customer strategy with revenue, profitability, and operational execution.
-
Bring consistency to account planning without losing the realities of individual customers and markets.
-
Influence decisions across multiple functions and business units.
-
Create tools and processes that improve both commercial effectiveness and customer partnerships.
-
See your work translate into measurable growth and stronger executive decision-making.
What You Bring
You understand that strong account growth requires more than a relationship. It requires financial insight, cross-functional alignment, disciplined execution, and a clear understanding of where the greatest opportunities exist.
Successful candidates will bring:
-
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
-
At least seven years of experience in strategic account management, sales operations, commercial strategy, business planning, or a related discipline.
-
Experience supporting enterprise, national, global, or other strategically important customer accounts.
-
Strong financial analysis and commercial business-planning capabilities.
-
Experience facilitating cross-functional account reviews, planning sessions, or Quarterly Business Reviews.
-
The ability to translate complex information into clear recommendations and executive presentations.
-
Strong communication, facilitation, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
-
Experience working with CRM platforms and commercial planning tools.
-
The ability to travel up to 25%.
Experience within manufacturing, packaging, or another complex business-to-business environment would be helpful, but is not required.
The Environment
Most work will be performed in a professional office. Visits to manufacturing facilities may require appropriate personal protective equipment, including hearing protection, safety shoes, or vision protection.
Ready to Build the Strategy Behind Customer Growth?
This role is ideal for someone who can see both the big picture and the steps required to deliver it. You will help ProAmpac move beyond individual account activity toward a more intentional, data-informed, and repeatable approach to strategic customer growth.
Apply to help shape stronger customer partnerships, improve commercial decision-making, and build the planning discipline that turns opportunity into measurable results.
ProAmpac is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities throughout the application and employment process.
