Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• BSN completion preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Washington license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Able to read strips preferred.

Required Credentials: - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Special Requests: - Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.

Unit Details: - General medical patients including sepsis, COPD, bowel obstructions, CHF, etc. - RNs titrate insulin and heparin drips. - No tele monitor techs are available on the unit; telemetry is monitored from a centralized location in AZ and is reachable via Ascom app on iPhone. - Charge nurse does not take an assignment. - Support staff: 1 CNA for 10-14 patients. - CPAP and established BiPAPs only.

Shift & Scheduling: - Weekends as needed. Holidays as required.

Floating Requirements: - First to float. Primary to St. Francis Hospital, but if needed, travelers will be required to float throughout Region One: St. Anne Hospital – Burien, WA; Virginia Mason Medical Center – Seattle, WA; St. Francis Hospital – Federal Way, WA.

Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
