Our client, a leading manufacturing organization in Brooklyn Park, MN, is seeking a dedicated Welder to join their dynamic team. As a Welder, you will be an integral part of the manufacturing department, supporting the production of high-quality products. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, safety consciousness, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Welder

Location: Brooklyn Park, MN

Pay Range: Up to $37.90/hour

Shift: Monday - Friday; 6:00AM - 2:00PM

What's the Job?

  • Safely layout, fit-up, and weld quality products following company policies and procedures
  • Read and interpret fabrication blueprints and engineering drawings accurately
  • MIG Welding (GMAW Pulse)
  • Utilizing cutting torches and/or carbon arc (gouging)
  • Operate overhead cranes, jib cranes, and hoists to move materials and equipment
  • Utilize hand tools such as grinders, chisels, and tip cleaners for fabrication tasks
  • Perform visual and x-ray weld assessments to meet AWS certification standards

What's Needed?

  • Welding experience or completion of a certified trade school/technical degree in welding
  • Ability to read fabrication blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Pass a weld assessment following AWS standards and complete COPA prior to assessment
  • Ability to work at multiple heights and in various positions, including kneeling, squatting, and reaching
  • Work in an environment with exposure to welding fumes, noise, and changing temperatures
