JOB SUMMARY

Join our Interventional Radiology team as a PRN Registered Nurse, where you will provide safe, compassionate, and age-appropriate patient care in a highly specialized procedural environment. As a valued member of the patient care team, you will serve as an advocate, advisor, and clinical resource for patients and their families while supporting exceptional care before, during, and after Interventional Radiology procedures.

This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with physicians, technologists, and interdisciplinary teams dedicated to delivering outstanding patient outcomes and a positive patient experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide safe, age-appropriate nursing care to patients undergoing Interventional Radiology procedures
  • Serve as a patient and family advocate by offering education, support, and clinical guidance
  • Assess, monitor, and document patient care throughout the procedural experience
  • Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and healthcare team members to support quality patient care
  • Maintain a safe, patient-centered environment while promoting comfort and positive outcomes
  • Demonstrate professionalism, critical thinking, and excellent customer service
  • Ensure compliance with departmental, regulatory, and patient safety standards
  • Support efficient workflow and care coordination within the Interventional Radiology department

REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate degree in Nursing or equivalent formal nursing education required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from a CCNE-accredited program preferred
  • Less than one year of nursing experience required
  • Current Maryland Registered Nurse license required
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR certification required
  • Knowledge of specialized nursing care and patient assessment practices required
