Schedule: Monday- Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm

Novant Health Rock Hill Family Medicine is seeking a Full-Time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our compassionate and patient-focused team. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will coordinate and assist providers in delivering safe, high-quality, and cost-effective care to patients within our practice. You will play an essential role in ensuring efficient clinic operations while creating a welcoming and positive experience for every patient.

What We're Looking For:

Education: High School or GED, required. Candidates will provide proof of current certification from one of the approved certifying registries including:

• CMA with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)

• CCMA with the National Health Career Association (NHA)

• RMA with the American Medical Technologists (AMT)

• American Registry of Medical Assistants(NHCWA)

•National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)

• National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)

• American Allied Health (AAH) RMA with the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). I

If a candidate is not currently certified, they must obtain certification or registration by the end of the sixth month of their hire and sign an certification agreement.

Experience: Previous work in a medical office, preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required

Refer to Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096

Current State Drivers License (Palliative Care Only), required

Additional Skills/Requirements (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.

What You'll Do:
  • Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures.
  • Room patients, obtain vital signs, and accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record.
  • Administer medications and immunizations within scope of practice
