PCU RN Requirements
Active

Virginia RN License
Minimum

2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
Current

AHA BLS
Current

AHA ACLS
Current

QuantiFERON-TB Gold

test within the past 12 months
COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment
What Youll Do

As a PCU RN with First Choice Nurses, you will provide high-quality patient care within acute-care hospital environments. Responsibilities may include:
Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions
Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status
Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments
Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records
Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards
Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans
Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments
