General Manager – High‑Volume Hospitality Concept (Houston, TX)

Salary: $72,000–$75,000

Schedule: ~55 hours/week

Benefits: Medical, dental, vision; 2 weeks PTO after 1 year

Bonus: Annual performance‑based

A busy, seven‑day‑a‑week hospitality concept in the Heights area is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead daily operations, elevate guest experience, and drive financial results. This role requires a hands‑on operator with strong bar knowledge, bilingual communication skills, and proven leadership in high‑volume environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and retain management and hourly teams
  • Maintain strong floor presence and deliver exceptional guest service
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance reviews
  • Manage bar programs, beverage inventory, and cost controls
  • Ensure food, beverage, and sanitation standards are consistently met
  • Execute training programs and staff development
  • Manage P&L, labor, COGS, and operational KPIs
  • Support marketing initiatives and community engagement
  • Maintain accurate financial records and cash‑handling procedures

Required Experience & Skills

  • Outgoing, hospitality‑driven leadership style
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • 3–5 years supervisory experience in restaurants/bars
  • 3–5 years bartending/serving experience
  • Working knowledge of bar programs and beverage costing
  • Strong understanding of P&L, labor management, and forecasting
  • FOH/BOH operational knowledge
  • Proficiency with Mac, Windows, Excel, and POS systems
  • Ability to stand long hours and lift 30 lbs
  • Availability for a 55+ hour work week
