Full job description
We are searching for a hands-on Controls Engineer for a growing company in the machine and equipment manufacturing sector. The candidate will be a detail-oriented individual with at least 5 years of experience in PLC and HMI programming and project supervision.
Controls Engineer Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary of $110-130K, based on experience

Controls Engineer Responsibilities:
- Prepare, lead, and coordinate project objectives and monitor project status, and report progress.
- Create electrical schematics, PLC logic, and enclosure designs, while staying on budget and timeline.
- Estimate engineering hours, create BOM, create checklists, and be responsible for machine manuals.
- Inspect teamwork and approve quality assurance and customer compliance, and obtain the Engineering Manager's signoff/approval.
- Contribute to process improvement and provide manufacturing assembly support.
Controls Engineer Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar with experience
- 6+ years of PLC programming (Omron, AB, Siemens), HMI programming (Indusoft)
- Robotic programming knowledge (ABB, Fanuc)
- Understand electrical codes and design, along with equipment using hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical practices.
- Proficient in CAD or SolidWorks, Microsoft Office applications, ERP (Epicor preferred)
- Business-minded, flexible thought process, problem-solver, and able to seek guidance when needed
- Some leadership in running a small team.
