What We Offer:
  • Schedule : 7A-7P, full time, 36 hours. This is a full-time weekender position meaning the schedule is every Saturday & Sunday, and 1 shift during the week . Day during the week will rotate based on unit need. Holiday call required. Paid for an extra four hours not required to work, working 36 hours, paid for 40.
  • Department: Operating Room
  • Location : Forsyth Medical Center
  • Unit Info: 17 OR rooms, 1:1 ratio, range of procedures.
  • Requirements: This position requires OR experience.

What We're Looking For:
  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
  • Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
What You'll Do:
  • Prepare operating rooms by ensuring availability and functionality of surgical instruments, supplies, implants, medications, and equipment.

  • Assist with room setup and maintain sterile fields according to established surgical and infection control standards.

  • Function in scrub and/or circulator roles during surgical procedures

  • Anticipate surgeon, anesthesia provider, and surgical team needs throughout procedures.
