Position Overview

Grand Health Care Clinic is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our multidisciplinary rehabilitation team. In this full-time role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting patients on their journey to recovery by assisting Physical Therapists in delivering personalized treatment plans aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, and overall functionality.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will have a range of vital responsibilities, including:

  • Collaborating closely with Physical Therapists to assist in implementing tailored treatment plans for each patient, focusing on improving mobility, strength, and overall functional capabilities.
  • Guiding patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and rehabilitation activities designed to alleviate pain and enhance physical well-being.
  • Educating patients and caregivers on effective body mechanics, exercise techniques, and individualized home exercise programs to support their recovery process.
  • Administering physical therapy modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and thermotherapy under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
  • Monitoring and documenting patient progress meticulously, including tracking improvements in range of motion, strength, and functional enhancements.
  • Preparing treatment areas, organizing supplies, and ensuring that necessary equipment is set up for therapy sessions efficiently.
  • Engaging with an interdisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, to coordinate comprehensive patient care and optimize treatment outcomes.
  • Offering emotional support to patients, fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere that motivates them during their rehabilitation journey.
  • Upholding ethical standards by ensuring patient confidentiality and respecting all rights and privacy provisions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from surgery, stroke survivors, athletes rehabilitating from injuries, and elderly individuals aiming to regain independence. Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, with a focus on Physical Therapy.
  • A valid state license or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
