• 12‐hour shifts ‐‐ days and nights, including weekends
• Shift times: 6 am ‐ 6 pm, 10 am ‐ 10 pm, 6 pm ‐ 6 am
• Approximately 100 patients per day
• Approximately 40,000 visits per year
• Patient mix ‐‐ adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics (10 ‐ 15%)
• Standard emergency medicine procedures required
