Pathology Physician Opportunity – Nebraska
Why We’re Looking
  • Adding a second full-time pathologist to form a two-physician pathology team
  • Provides laboratory leadership and general pathology coverage across two hospitals
Position Overview
  • Specialty: Pathology
  • Case Mix / Volume: Inpatient volumes slightly lower than outpatient
  • Operational Expectation: Workflows structured to meet around-the-clock diagnostic turnaround times
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
  • Laboratory Systems: APLIS (WSI platform)
  • Services: In-house molecular pathology and advanced testing capabilities
  • Clinical Collaboration: Close communication with surgeons and oncologists; participation in tumor boards
  • Technology: Whole slide scanners and telepathology platforms
  • Call: Shared pathology call rotation
  • Reporting to: Dr. Wedel (Medical Director), Terri Brown (Director)
Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD or equivalent)
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anatomic & Clinical Pathology (AP/CP)
  • Eligible for Nebraska medical licensure (or active eligibility)
Compensation & Incentives
  • $400K+Production
  • Productivity Bonus: Eligible based on performance
