MCPP - Utility Equipment Mechanic

THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA

Program Summary

The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistic services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) in support of this program. For over 35 years we have planned, coordinated, and executed the maintenance and logistic services for ground combat vehicles and support equipment for USMC Expeditionary Forces.

Job Summary
Perform functions related to inventory and operation of Fuel Equipment Related to Fuel System Tactical Air Field System, Amphibious Assault Fuel Equipment System, Helicopter Expedient Refueling System, Ground Expedient Refueling System, Understanding Elastomeric Service life program criteria, inventorying, cleaning, and storing of Fuel equipment, to include Valves, Centrifugal pumps, Fuel meters, Manifolds, Strainers and Fuel Filters Separators.  Familiar with Service Life Data for Fuel tank (Bladders) and Hoses.
Basic Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Four years directly related work experience. 
  • Able to operate, repair and troubleshoot diesel driven Fuel pumps up to 600gpm.
  • Ability to assemble a variety of mechanical systems and/or equipment. 
  • Ability to follow a variety of detailed processing instructions, and use judgment in planning work sequences. 
  • Able to work independently as well as a member of a team. 
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds. 
  • Possess a valid State Motor Vehicle Operator License and able to obtain and maintain a Tactical Operator License as necessary.
  • Ability to comply with all established methods, safety standards, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position. 
  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and Base Access.
