Position Overview

Gotham Enterprises Ltd is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center located in Newark, New Jersey. This full-time, onsite position involves directly collaborating with licensed Physical Therapists to implement tailored treatment plans aimed at improving patient mobility, strength, and overall functional capabilities. Work Environment

Our facility is equipped with advanced rehabilitation technology and a supportive, team-oriented atmosphere. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work onsite in our Newark hospital, where you will interact with a diverse community of healthcare professionals, including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists. The center is operational Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate the dynamic needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans designed to enhance patient mobility, strength, and recovery.
  • Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and procedures, ensuring proper techniques are utilized to maximize effectiveness and safety.
  • Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, home exercise programs, and proper body mechanics to promote ongoing self-care and well-being.
  • Administer therapy modalities, including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold treatments, always maintaining adherence to ethical guidelines.
  • Track and document patient progress, progress notes, and treatment outcomes as required, maintaining detailed records to assist in treatment evaluations.
  • Maintain an organized treatment environment, preparing therapy equipment and ensuring a clean and functional workspace for both clinicians and patients.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to share insights, improve treatment protocols, and coordinate patient care for optimal recovery.
  • Support patients emotionally through encouragement and positive reinforcement, fostering a motivational atmosphere during rehabilitation sessions.

Qualifications
