Role Summary

Harbinger is hiring an IT Enterprise Applications Administrator to own our Atlassian instance end to end, Jira, Confluence, alongside a handful of other enterprise applications. This is a hands-on, builder role: we're looking for someone who is an expert across the Atlassian stack, fluent in advanced workflow and automation design, well-versed in enterprise AI tooling (AI gateways, governance, and policy).

Key Responsibilities

Atlassian Platform Ownership

  • Own administration of Jira, Confluence, and Atlassian Guard, including licensing, user provisioning, permission schemes, and org-level security policies.
  • Serve as the internal subject-matter expert on the Atlassian stack, advising teams on best practices for project/space structure, schemes, and governance.
  • Run recurring admin access reviews for the Atlassian org, consistent with how we already handle access reviews for other platforms.

Workflow & Automation

  • Design and build advanced Jira workflows, automation rules, and JQL-driven views for teams across the company.
  • Develop integrations using the Atlassian REST API, webhooks, and Forge/Connect apps to connect Jira and Confluence with other enterprise systems.
  • Continuously look for manual processes across the org that can be automated through Jira/Confluence tooling.

AI Integration & Governance

  • Own selection, deployment, and administration of an enterprise AI gateway (e.g. LiteLLM, Portkey, Cloudflare AI Gateway) to broker, monitor, and control LLM usage across the org's tools.
  • Develop and maintain AI usage governance and policy, covering acceptable use, data handling/classification, and vendor and model risk review, in partnership with Security and Legal.
  • Evaluate and roll out AI-assisted capabilities across our enterprise apps, ensuring they meet the governance standards above.

Cross-Functional

  • Document configurations, workflows, and decisions in Confluence so the setup is maintainable by others.
  • Train end users and admins across departments on Jira and Confluence best practices.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 4+ years administering Atlassian Cloud products at scale, ideally including both Jira and Confluence for a multi-team organization.
  • Atlassian certifications are a plus, not required.

Technical Competencies

  • Advanced Jira and Confluence administration (workflow/permission schemes, automation rules, JQL, custom fields, spaces, templates).
  • Atlassian Guard and org-level security/governance settings.
  • Experience with the Atlassian REST API and/or Forge/Connect app development for integrations.
  • Enterprise AI tooling expertise: hands-on experience with AI gateways/LLM proxies (e.g. LiteLLM, Portkey, Cloudflare AI Gateway) and building AI usage governance and policy frameworks (acceptable use, data handling, vendor/model risk review).
  • Scripting ability (e.g. Python or JavaScript) is a plus for automation work.

Soft Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication; able to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, high-growth manufacturing environment.
Key Benefits & Perks:

  • Comprehensive Health, Dental & Vision (HDV) – 100% employee covered
  • Early-stage Stock Options
  • Robust Retirement Savings (401k, HSA, FSA)
  • Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) & Parental Leave
  • Annual Vacation Bonus
  • Wellness & Fertility Benefits
  • Cell Phone Stipend
  • Complimentary Meals & Stocked Kitchens

California Pay Range

$120,000$130,000 USD
