Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a California license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

Required Skills/Experience: RNs must be able to read and interpret all cardiac rhythms.

Special Requests: Submission Limit: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.

Unit Details: Patient ratios are 1:4 for telemetry patients and 1:5 for Med-Surg patients; mixed MS/Tele assignments remain 1:4. Patient population includes acute/chronic medical conditions, cardiac telemetry patients, stroke patients, COVID patients, forensic patients, and potential postoperative patients. RNs do not titrate drips; set-rate drips include Cardizem, amiodarone, and heparin. GE monitors are used. CPAP or BiPAP may be used per RT and MD order; no ventilators. The unit is fast-paced, with many admissions and high acuity.

Shift & Scheduling: Shift huddles occur every shift at 0700 and 1900. 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule; weekends are Fri/Sat for night shifts and Sat/Sun for day shifts. Holiday requirement: 1 major and 1 minor minimum. No call, but the clinician may be placed on standby for low census; if called in from standby, a 30-minute response time is required.

Floating Requirements: Travelers are first to float. They may be floated to Mercy Downtown (approximately 6.5 miles away), any MS/MST unit, ICU for MST patients, or ER for MST holds.

Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
