Job Summary
Supports Nursing Administration by collecting, validating, analyzing, and presenting clinical, operational, quality, staffing and patient flow data. The position transforms complex information into accurate, understandable, and actionable reports that assist nursing leaders with decision making, performance improvement, resource planning, regulatory readiness, and the delivery of safe, efficient, high quality patient care. Working collaboratively with the CNO and nursing leadership, clinical departments, and other organizational stakeholders, the Nursing Data Analyst develops and maintains dashboards, recurring reports, and ad hoc analyses. The analyst promotes consistent data definitions, reliable reporting processes, appropriate data governance, and responsible handling of confidential information.

1. Create clear visualizations and concise written and verbal interpretations of analytical data for Nursing department, CNO and other team members as necessary.
2. Create and produce accurate data reflective of various Nursing department indicators, scorecards and projects based upon necessary timelines.
3. Present and communicate data findings with clinical, operational, technical, and executive stakeholders.
4. Daily collaboration with Nursing leadership to determine operational needs.
5. Extract and collate data from EPIC (EHR).

Qualifications
- BS Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, healthcare administration, health informatics or a related field.
- Healthcare or hospital experience strongly preferred. Experience working with clinical, nursing, staffing, patient flow, quality, or workforce data preferred. Experience in developing reports or dashboards for leadership and operational users preferred. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, data validation, lookups, charts, and data organization. Experience with a business intelligence or data visualization platform such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or an equivalent system, preferred.
- Experience extracting or analyzing information from an electronic health record, staffing system, patient flow platform, or healthcare data warehouse preferred. SQL or comparable data- query experience preferred. Ability to create clear visualizations and concise written interpretations of analytical findings. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Ability to translate operational questions into measurable definitions and analytical requirements. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills. Ability to communicate effectively with clinical, operational, technical, and executive stakeholders. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments. Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills. Ability to manage competing priorities and respond appropriately to urgent operational requests. Discretion in handling confidential patient, employee, and organizational information.
