Hospitalist Physician

El Camino Health Medical Network is seeking a highly skilled Hospitalist Physician to join our growing inpatient medicine team. This role provides comprehensive, high-quality care to hospitalized adult patients in a collaborative and patient-centered environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to evidence-based medicine, strong clinical outcomes, and effective collaboration with multidisciplinary care teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care to adult hospitalized patients

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions

  • Collaborate with specialists, nursing staff, case management, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team

  • Coordinate patient care from admission through discharge

  • Perform timely patient evaluations, develop treatment plans, and respond to changes in clinical status

  • Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge recommendations

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine

  • Eligible for medical licensure in California

  • DEA license (required)

  • Strong clinical, communication, and critical-thinking skills

  • Commitment to evidence-based medicine and patient-centered care

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience practicing as a Hospitalist

  • Experience managing complex hospitalized adult patients

  • Interest in quality improvement, clinical education, or program development

  • Academic or research experience

  • Familiarity with multidisciplinary inpatient care models
