As a Land Representative III / Senior Land Representative, you will support the protection, acquisition, negotiation, and management of land and property rights for pipelines and facilities. You will work closely with landowners, legal counsel, company partners, and external stakeholders to support projects while providing excellent customer service and resolving complex land-related issues. The ability to influence others, communicate effectively, and build strong relationships across all levels of the organization are keys to success.
Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Negotiates, acquires, and manages land and property rights for pipelines and facilities
- Meets with landowners, local leaders, and stakeholders to negotiate easements, purchase agreements, and other land-related rights
- Supports maintenance, operations, relocation, abandonment, and growth capital projects
- Prepares and manages project budgets
- Conducts market research and analyzes economic conditions, real estate developments, and land transactions
- Collaborates with legal counsel to prepare and maintain contracts, title reports, legal descriptions, and other land-related documents
- Provides guidance and support to project teams on land-related matters
- Mentors other land team members and contract support personnel
- Represents the company in public meetings, hearings, and external stakeholder interactions as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
Land Representative III
- Required: High school diploma/GED and a minimum of six (6) years' experience in oil and gas industry, land, real estate, or legal
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in business or related field; Senior Right of Way Professional certification
Senior Land Representative
- Required: High school diploma/GED and a minimum of ten (10) years' experience in oil and gas industry, land, real estate, or legal
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in business or related field; Senior Right of Way Professional certification
Other Requirements:
- Demonstrates excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with safety as the utmost priority
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PC skills
- Demonstrates ability to prepare, interpret, and negotiate contracts
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
Level Placement Considerations: Candidates will be considered for either the Land Representative III or Senior Land Representative level based on their experience, demonstrated skills, scope of responsibility, and overall qualifications.
