Full job description

Responsibilities:

Performs assessments on Pediatric and Neonatal units, general and critical care respiratory care procedures, blood gas analysis and interpretation, maintenance and management of equipment and patient and family education in those areas.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Associates Degree from an accredited school in Respiratory Therapy Required

Work Experience

  • Previous Working Experience in Neonatal or Pediatric Respiratory care, or successful completion of department-specific orientation, including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level. Required

Licenses and Certifications

  • RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Upon Hire Required and
  • Licensed by the State of Georgia under the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners. Upon Hire Required and
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
  • ACLS Upon Hire Required and
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Upon Hire Required and
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Upon Hire Required
  • Must be actively practicing and maintaining all required competencies.
  • Neonatal Pediatric Specialist credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care Preferred
