Position Overview

United Health Services (UHS) is seeking a Team Leader Business Office to provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, and support to the Professional Billing team. The Team Leader Business Office is responsible for promoting operational excellence by ensuring productivity, quality standards, and organizational values are consistently achieved. This role serves as a key resource for staff, helping to resolve issues, answer questions, and facilitate effective communication across the team.

The Team Leader Business Office plays an integral role in employee development, coaching, accountability, and continuous process improvement initiatives. Working closely with leadership, this position supports team performance, enhances operational outcomes, and fosters a positive and collaborative work environment focused on delivering exceptional service and achieving department goals.

Compensation Range:

$21.31 - $30.90 per hour, depending on experience

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, engagement, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor productivity, quality, work queues, and key performance indicators.
  • Conduct routine coaching, feedback, and performance discussions.
  • Assist in onboarding, training, and competency development of staff.
  • Identify operational challenges and recommend process improvements.
  • Support implementation of departmental initiatives and organizational priorities.
  • Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to resolve workflow issues and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure desktop procedures, training materials, and work instructions remain accurate and current.
  • Utilize data and trend analysis to identify opportunities to improve quality, reduce denials, and increase productivity.
  • Facilitate effective communication and ensure important information is consistently shared with staff.
  • Assist with change management initiatives and support staff through periods of transition.
  • Promote a positive, professional work environment aligned with organizational values.


Position Qualifications

Minimum Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred:

  • Associates degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or related field.
